We all love food. As a society, we devour countless cooking shows, culinary magazines and foodie blogs. So how could we possibly be throwing nearly 50% of it in the trash? Kiwi households throw away 122,547 tonnes of food every year. Do you know how much food your household is contributing to that number? Come and learn how to save your leftovers and reduce on your waste, as we share the skill of using spices to conjure up a quick and easy snack that will impress guests at your next luncheon/afternoon tea. Whilst we’re at it, we’ll be demonstrating the fine art of authentic Indian chai making. We roast and grind our spices to ensure the most vibrant gourmet flavours. Cardamom, fennel, and fenugreek do more than simply

flavour a dish, but can enrich your body and soul when they are sourced and cooked with care. We wish to share the wisdom of traditional methods and hope that you will feel the love that has gone into every dish and cup. At the end of the class we’ll get to share our freshly brewed Indian chai tea and the hot vegetarian street food prepared – hopefully taking you back to the bustling streets of Mumbai and Gujarat, India.
