At the Karaka War Memorial Hall, Karaka, this is a FREE DIY worm farming for kids workshop, hosted by Kristina. Bring the kids along to this hands on event to make their own mini worm farms! We’ll talk about the importance of home composting, how cool tiger worms are, what they eat, and how to keep your worm farm going. Each family will leave the workshop with their own mini worm farm, a few worms (subject to availability) to get them started, and instructions for the gown ups on how to keep it going and even make it bigger!

Note: * 2 ice cream containers with 1 lid per family * Newspaper * If you have a drill, please bring it along * If you have a healthy worm farm at home, please consider bringing some to share!

For a limited time, all registered workshop attendees will receive a 50% off voucher to use towards the composting system of your choice (Bokashi, Worm farm, or traditional compost bin). The voucher will be emailed to you after the workshop, and the composting system (and optional free rat trap) can be ordered online at compostcollective.org.nz, and delivered straight to your door.
