In Central Waiuku (as this is a private address in Waiuku, you will receive the address once you have registered), this workshop will be run by Jennifer.
Hugelkultur is a type of lasagne garden made from a pile of logs covered with compostable materials. Come prepared to help build this hugelkultur bed. Wear your gardening clothes and sturdy boots/shoes. Your favourite shovel could come in handy. Please bring some spare biomass to contribute to the bed. eg food scraps, grass clippings, woody prunings, cardboard, straw, hay, spare topsoil… NO pest weeds such as kikuyu, tradescantia, wild ginger, or oxalis.
Confirmed participants will receive a $40.00 discount toward the purchase of a composting system that can be redeemed online.
